In 2025, Goodwill Enterprises and the YMCA of the Rock River Valley entered a partnership to house the new adult GED program, known as the Excel Center, at the SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA in Rockford, Illinois. To help facilitate the needs of incoming students with children, our firm designed a new daycare center at the YMCA where students can bring their children while they attend class.
The new daycare center has direct access from the main lobby, numerous custom-made, interactive play areas, and accessibility upgrades for individuals with mobility issues. Bright, vibrant colors and unique murals throughout the space help enhance the experience for both children and staff.
