The Youth for Christ City Life Center in Rockford, IL, was recently transformed from a warehouse into a safe, student-focused space with a quick turnaround for the 2025 school year.

Designed by 1919 Architects and built by Ringland-Johnson Construction, safety was the top priority. The main entrance features a secure door system with a metal detector, turnstile, and ballistic glass, while exit doors prevent reentry.

Inside, the center offers a large gathering space with games, multi-purpose breakout rooms, offices designed for staff visibility and support, and a storage room. A future gymnasium is planned in Phase II.
